General Manager, Marketing & Projects

Role

Create and deliver the marketing vision and strategy, and deliver strategic business projects, for these Kaplan Businesses:

Kaplan Business School, University of Adelaide College, Murdoch Institute of Technology, Kaplan International Languages….plus any new brands that develop through new university partnerships in Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 8 marketing, digital and design professionals
  • Lead teams (not direct reports) to deliver systems, product & business projects
  • Lead the strategic development and delivery of an integrated marketing strategy
  • Develop & deliver strategic business projects, driving business strategy and profit growth
  • Provide strategic marketing & collateral production, for new initiatives being brought to market
  • Drive B2B marketing (local and internationally) identifying opportunities for new initiatives
  • Work closely with sales teams on student recruitment and engagement targets & initiatives
  • Provide senior marketing representation & drive relationships with key university partners
  • Manage marketing budgets and the allocation of marketing spend
  • Forge relationships with key stakeholders including leadership teams across all businesses
  • Deploy industry best-practice digital marketing, including content marketing, social media engagement, SEM, SEO, website development, mobile optimisation campaigns and lead generation
  • As global Kaplan brand advocate for the region, adapt Kaplan visual brand guidelines for Kaplan ANZ businesses using local insights across all print and digital collateral

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, min 5 years at management level
  • Experience within higher education and/or international education industry
  • Experience in leading on marketing strategy and brand management
  • Experience managing and motivating a team of marketing professionals
  • Experience leading multiple projects and project teams, across systems, product and business
  • Experience in managing stakeholders across multiple landscapes
  • Ability to travel interstate and internationally as necessary
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in Marketing and Management
