LMS Support Officer

Role

Contribute to the day-to-day operations activities required to run Kaplan Business School’s (KBS’s) learning management system (LMS).  KBS uses Moodle as its LMS.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Content and Learning Systems Manager, and work in a team of 4
  • Create, update and maintain subject builds
  • Resolve issues logged through the Content and LMS inboxes
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to all types of users
  • Work with associated plugins and platforms including TurnItIn and OpenAthens
  • Build and configure core Moodle components like gradebook, forums and blocks

Requirements

  • Degree level qualification
  • Experience working in a higher education environment
  • Experience working with CSV and PDF files and converting them between different formats
  • Proven experience with process planning and producing accurate documentation

Desirable

  • Experience working with Moodle and plugins such as Turnitin
  • Ability to use the Adobe Suite of products to create/edit multimedia resources
  • Working knowledge of JIRA
  • Experience developing resources in Articulate Storyline and RISE
