Delivery Lead - Technology

Role

Lead a cross-functional software product delivery team (onshore and offshore) for Kaplan Professional’s (KP) Ontrack program of work. 

Ontrack is KP’s purpose-built learning platform which allows professionals the ability to easily access, track and complete their learning anytime and anywhere, plus provides organisations planning and reporting tools that customise and manage learning experiences at an individual or group level.

Responsibilities

  • Be the key interface between KP’s stakeholders and digital product development group, plus local and offshore technology teams
  • Lead the planning development, testing and implementation activities in a cross-functional environment
  • Where necessary, influence decisions to ensure high-value outcomes for Ontrack users
  • Buildauthentic, collaborative and trusting working relationships with business partners and IT stakeholders, plus vendor resources with ease
  • Build a team environment with people working together towards common goals
  • Report on all activities, including but not limited to progress, dependencies, risks, issues and opportunities, financials and resources
  • Prepare Executive level presentations and demonstrations
  • Develop financial year budget estimations and take on other financial management duties
  • Develop release schedules aligned with the Product Owner’s expectations and vision
  • Manage technical and user acceptance testing requirements for each release cycle, plus other quality assurance and pre-production release duties

Requirements

  • Significant experience with complex software projects and continuous improvement technology deliveries
  • Proven experience in leading co-located and remote teams in a customer-focused product development and delivery environment
  • In-depth knowledge of one, or more, Agile as well as Waterfall frameworks, as acquired through formal certification and practical experience
  • Superior stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Experienced in working closely and collaboratively with Executive level decision-makers
  • Strong Agile/Scrum capabilities and knowledge paired with significant project management skills
  • Strong facilitation and workshopping skills
  • Excellent project controls management around risks and issues, budgeting, quality assurance and change control
  • Ability to navigate a complex, changing business and technology environment
  • Software or technical qualifications, highly desirable
