Roles
2x Mid-level Engineering roles, working on Red Marker’s core platform.
We’ll sculpt the work to suit your career progression goals, whether that be back or front end.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Sydney team of 7 Engineers and 7 other professionals
- Develop an understanding of a complex system architecture, and start adding new functionality
- Deliver on a mix of greenfield and support tasks for legacy services/apps
Requirements
Software Engineer (full stack, PHP & JS):
- API, CLI and Web with Laravel
- Front end with Vue.js (Nuxt + Buefy)
- Broad API Integration experience including OAuth, json:api, and various integration patterns
- Non-standard web experience Eg. Browser extensions, Adobe JS integrations, Google Docs Add-Ins or Microsoft Add-In API’s, desirable
Machine Learning / Data Engineer (python):
- Experience in AI/ML libraries such as: spaCy, NLTK, gensim, scikit-learn tensorflow, pytorch
- Familiarity with classification, clustering, decision trees and boosting methods.
- Genuine interest in AI/ML in particular NLP
- Focus on system reliability and scalable, robust architectures
Common to both:
- In depth Test Driven Development and focus on system reliability and quality.
- Amazon Web Services, in-particular EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda
- Working with queue systems such as RabbitMQ in a Microservice Architecture
- Docker (or similar container technology), plus experience with Git
