We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and target-driven Regional Manager for MENA, Africa & Central Asia, to manage a market-focused staff member to deliver strong student recruitment growth. The Regional Manager is responsible for the delivery of high-quality customer service and business relationship management with internal and external stakeholders, managing our partner agents across the region, generating new business while retaining existing business.
This role will suit someone with a strong understanding of student recruitment within the international education sector, have excellent organisational skills and be an initiative-taker with experience working internationally across diverse markets, cultures, and economies.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing the sales and recruitment strategy for MENA, Africa & Central Asia
- Full responsibility for sales performance, and for managing the recruitment budget for the region
- Managing a Market Manager (Pakistan) to drive sales growth
- Identifying, approaching, and working closely with Sponsorship bodies throughout the region
- Driving student recruitment outcomes to achieve regional targets for KI ANZ colleges, while keeping in line with Australian and New Zealand Government, and KI compliance requirements
- Driving the highest levels of performance within the team and delivering best-in-sector customer service to all internal and external stakeholders
- Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Education Agents, Senior Management of KI ANZ University Partners, Regional KI colleagues, University Partner Regional Managers (RM’s) (or equivalent), Sponsorship bodies, and Industry bodies
- Active collaboration with KI ANZ businesses to identify collaborative opportunities for mutual benefit
Requirements:
- University-level education (essential)
- Extensive experience of international sales or marketing; solid understanding of Australian, New Zealand and International Higher Education (essential)
- Management and leadership skills, with the ability to delegate, guide and mentor team members to achieve their maximum potential and results (essential)
- Experience of travel in MENA, Africa & Central Asia
- Results-orientated, ambitious, and initiative-taking
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, who can engage confidently with a wide range of audiences and levels of organisational seniority
- Strong grasp of marketing resources and how they can be used for different audiences
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities within tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and experience with the Australian and New Zealand Government regulatory and compliance legislation framework
- Willing to travel overseas independently and to work irregular hours as required
- Fluency in a relevant second language (fluency in Arabic preferable) (desirable)
- Experience of international education agent relationship management (desirable)
