Role:
We are looking for a Student Information Officer with world-class customer-service experience who will be the face of the University of Adelaide College and the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors.
As a member of the Student Services team, you will be assisting students with both academic and non-academic needs and help with a range of support services. If you have a caring and nurturing nature with professionalism, then this role is for you
Responsibilities
- Be the first tier of support for all student and staff inquiries at the College
- Maintain professional presentation of service desk area and student common rooms
- Act as the first point of contact for staff and student IT issues, and direct to relevant areas for further technical assistance
- Ensure that service desk is attended at all time
- Assist students with academic/non-academic needs and help with a range of support services
- Respond to general Student Services online enquiries (via the CRM) and redirecting to college staff for complex inquiries
- Coordinate student letter and transcript requests
- Assist with the College’s Attendance Monitoring Process including sending notifications and scheduling appointments with Student Services team members
- Contribute to College student’s smooth transition to the University
- Provide accurate and timely communication of information to students and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Ability to develop good relationships with and work effectively with stakeholders
- Customer facing role which requires working from the office Monday- Friday
- Problem solving skills and Excellent listening skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational, planning, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet set deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Adaptable to the changing work environment
- IT literate (word, excel, outlook)
- Results-orientated, ambitious, and highly self-motivated
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, if required
- Proficient in a language(s) other than English (highly desirable)
- Direct knowledge or experience of the international education sector (desirable)
- Knowledge of ESOS, PRISMS, SSVF and regulatory requirements (desirable)
