Role

We are looking for an Academic Programs Manager with strong leadership skills that will manage a team based in different countries and be responsible for the quality enhancement, technical development and course design of Kaplan’s curriculum, assessments and overall qualifications for international programs and other non-Award products and services.

If you have a broad understanding of the educational environment that extends beyond higher education to include vocational education and other non-Award products and services, then this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and engage a team of academic staff and Course Coordinators on site and remotely
  • Identify key objectives and enact strategies to achieve them by the agreed due dates
  • Provide support, coaching and mentoring to ensure the professional development of all team members
  • Lead the recruitment of new members of staff based on an objective decision-making process
  • Oversee the output of all team members to ensure work is accurate, current, relevant and of high quality
  • Manage the workflow of staff to make certain it is sufficient but not excessive
  • Remain abreast of the course review cycle and proactively initiate associated processes
  • Act as the senior technical expert in the team from whom academic staff and Course Coordinators seek guidance and insights
  • Identify gaps in the academic staff and Course Coordinator’s technical knowledge and provide prompt training in response
  • Participate in scholarly activities such as workshops, courses, and conferences

Requirements

  • Master’s-level qualification related to financial planning, applied finance, education, or related area (essential)
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards) (essential)
  • Leadership Experience - experience leading a small team (essential)
  • Experience working in an RTO or HEP or other learning and development environment
  • Experience in the corporate sector, especially within financial services
  • Excellent written skills, specifically in terms of grammar and syntax
  • Ability to manage complex projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Doctoral-level qualification related to financial planning, applied finance, education, or related area (desirable)
  • Experience meeting the regulatory standards, particularly regarding staffing (desirable)
