Role:
We are looking for an Admissions Officer who will be responsible for managing and implementing the workflow in admissions with Murdoch College, particularly through the start-up and implementation phase. To be successful in this role you will have excellent customer service skills and be highly personable, with exceptional organisation and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the company policy of 24–48-hour response timeframe is met when processing applications
- Respond professionally, accurately and in a timely manner to inquiries and applications by email, mail, telephone or in person
- Assess new student applications and requests for amendments accurately and in a timely manner to maximise the conversion of enquiries into applications and enrolments
- Based upon applications and requests for amendments, prepare offer letters in accordance with company policies and procedures or, if the applicant is unsuccessful, advise of the outcome
- Accurately enter data into the student management system as per established procedures
- Process all CoE’s on PRISMS for both pathway and award programs
- Assist staff as requested with additional administrative duties as required
- Comply with specific legislation and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with appropriate Kaplan staff, including enrolments, national operations, governance teams, sales, marketing, and college staff
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge relating to all aspects of student education and training so that accurate and timely information can be provided to prospective students
Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ experience in processing international student applications for an education institution and a demonstrated understanding of the Australian and/or New Zealand education system (essential)
- Ability to develop good relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational, planning, and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and efficient in multi-tasking
- Adaptable to the changing work environment
- IT literate (word, excel, outlook)
- Ability to plan, control, coordinate and manage activities with minimal supervision
- Up-to-date working knowledge of key legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to international students
- Direct knowledge or experience of the international education sector (desirable)
- Advanced skills in the use of computerised information systems (desirable)
