Role
As a Massey University College (College) Student Experience Officer, you will provide a world-class student experience and exemplary customer service to students, staff and stakeholders. You will support students to successfully transition to our partner, Massey University, and help them establish themselves in New Zealand. You will undertake key administration processes to facilitate the student journey and enhance the College operations. You will contribute to a culture of success and academic excellence, and you will embody the principles of Massey University as a Tiriti o Waitangi-led institution. This is full time permanent position.
Responsibilities
- Assist students to access advice about their program and course choices to ensure a smooth study journey
- Provide accurate and timely communication to students and external providers/partners
- Liaise with relevant Massey University departments with regard to the transition of college students to their pathway programmes
- Conduct orientation session for new students on arrival with reference to Massey University and College policies and procedures in place for these students
- Monitor the wellbeing of all students particularly under 18 students. Work with Massey University’s Wellbeing Advisors to provide necessary support and services
- Process student enrolments including course enrolments in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitor students’ attendance and their enrolments as per relevant policies and legislation
- Co-ordinate events and activities with Massey University Student Services to ensure smooth integration leading to better student experience and business outcomes
- Provide administrative support to College Director, Academic Co-ordinators, and Admissions Team Leader if necessary
- Encourage teamwork and collaboration through positive communication to help foster a high performing, student-centric driven culture
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including WHS legislation requirements
- Monitor the College’s communication application including generic email accounts and phone calls
Requirements
- 1-2 years minimum working experience with international students (essential)
- Demonstrated understanding or experience of the international education sector including up-to-date working knowledge of key legislation, policies, and procedures relevant to international students (essential)
- Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Ability to develop good relationships with stakeholders and relate to people from a broad range of cultures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent technical skills in the use of multiple Student Management systems and Office 365 application
- Relevant tertiary qualification (desirable)
- Ability to speak languages other than English (desirable)
- Previous experience of case management within and educational capacity (desirable)
