Role

We are looking for an ELICOS Instructor to efficiently plan and deliver high quality, engaging English lessons to students whilst meeting administrative obligations. This is a casual position with the opportunity of a permanent contract in the future.  

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently plan and deliver high quality face-2-face English lessons for up to 23 hours a week as needed and in accordance with class schedules at Murdoch University Campus
• Conduct courses spanning a range of levels of General English and English for Academic Purposes at Murdoch University Campus
• Carry out administrative functions in a timely and accurate manner
• Fostering and participating in a team environment and contributing to the effective delivery of quality English language courses offered to international students.
• Addressing individual student needs and concerns both in and outside the classroom as appropriate to educational and institutional guidelines

Requirements:          

• Qualifications in TESOL (essential)
• Valid Working with Children Check
• Interest in teaching and student learning
• Ability to consistently interpret and apply policy
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Excellent computer literacy
• Demonstrated background in professional development endeavours (desirable)
• Experience in working with international students (desirable)
