Role

We are looking for an Academic Coordinator to join our supportive and positive team. The new Academic Coordinator will be responsible for providing system-based and administrative support to senior academic personnel together with a wide range of activities designed to enhance the standard of academic quality, governance and integrity at Kaplan Business School.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure submission assessment deadlines are met, and all assessments and final exam marks are recorded accurately in the requisite systems.
  • At the end of each marking period, conduct data analysis (results, grades, marks, enrolments, attendance, etc.) and create informative and articulate reports.
  • Assist with managing the online marking system, including Turnitin, and conduct training for academic staff when required.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice regarding system operation queries.
  • Manage online assessment submissions, review statistical reports, handle upload access through Moodle and follow up on any discrepancies to ensure smooth academic operations.
  • Make a contribution toward achieving overall student satisfaction by supporting and assisting academic staff with administrative work as and when required.
  • Provide assistance on, and take ownership of processes in relation to special consideration requests, exam procedures, timetabling, risk management, etc.
  • Provide assistance, administrative or otherwise, in regard to projects that may arise from time to time.

Requirements

  • Higher education qualification (essential)
  • Excellent reporting and written communication skills (essential)
  • Data analysis skills and experience (essential)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Previous experience in an operational environment
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently
  • Extremely high attention to detail
  • Previous experience in education/training delivery (desirable)
  • Knowledge of academic systems such as Moodle, Turnitin and Gradebook (desirable)
