Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a positive and energetic Academic Learning Advisor to join our Academic Success Centre (ASC) team. The Academic Learning Advisor is responsible for delivering student learning support with a holistic view to improve their academic performance and the overall student experience. The role aims to enhance the quality of the learning experience by providing individual meetings and workshops on a range of academic skills in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide students with workshops and coaching on a range of academic skills
• Identify students’ learning needs and respond appropriately
• Liaise with other stakeholders to deliver a holistic approach to student support
• Provide students with quality assessment feedback
• Manage the campus library and assist students with their daily borrowing needs

Requirements:

• Previous teaching experience (essential)
• Relevant Tertiary qualification (essential)
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to work autonomously in a patient, encouraging and caring manner
• Experience as a study adviser to international students (desirable)
• Commitment to innovation and continuous improvement (desirable)
