Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to work across Kaplan Business School, Kaplan International Pathways and Shared Services.
You will be responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out new initiatives as well as those in the portfolio backlog. If you are someone with a diverse skillset that can run multiple projects concurrently, then please apply below.
Responsibilities
· Lead planning in accordance with the agreed delivery approach with the KBS/Pathways Business Management team and IT Portfolio Management team, taking into consideration constraints and options for flexibility
· Delivery schedule development and management; alignment with relevant delivery roadmaps and scheduling so that dependencies and key milestones are well understood and tracked
· Identify and remove impediments to progress/success
· Lead weekly Project Status and working group meetings; consolidate meetings where possible so that concurrent deliveries can be addressed
· Development of alternative implementation plans plus operational workflows should interim solutions be required to meet compliance or business/contractual obligations
· Establish, plan, and execute major milestone reviews plus decision gates to complete the program and project life cycle.
· Work closely with the relevant Business Analyst(s) to ensure requirements elicitation activities/documentation meet critical path milestones and dependencies and that documentation is of high quality
· Communicate clearly, effectively, efficiently, and frequently with a broad range of stakeholders from C-level to junior members of staff
· Create a method for effective change management and business readiness including ownership of documentation, communication plans, process(es) and training
Establish, plan, and execute major milestone reviews plus decision gates to complete the program and project life cycle
Requirements
· Minimum 5+ years of project /delivery management experience (essential)
· Experience using appropriate tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Teamwork, Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Office suite, MS 365, Zoom, Mural, MSPO, Asana, Clarizen or PlanView (essential)
· Experience managing projects remotely and a willing to work flexible hours, as required (essential)
· Significant experience working in cross-functional delivery models with proven ability to lead customer-focused business projects to ensure objectives, goals, and critical business commitments are met
· Demonstrated experience working with Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, Hybrid or Tailored delivery approaches
· Experience preparing high quality status reports and project presentations suitable for executive level audiences
· Exceptional written and verbal communication
· Excellent workshop and meeting facilitation skills
· Highly collaborative and outcomes focused with solid influencing and relationship management skills
