Responsibilities
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and user roles within the LMS
- Collaborate with instructional designers, academics, and IT teams to support course development and technology integration
- Plan and execute LMS upgrades, including testing and validation to ensure compatibility with existing systems in conjunction with IT and Product teams
- Conduct quality assurance checks prior to deploying new features or updates
- Collect and analyse user feedback to make informed decisions for LMS improvements in conjunction with Manager, Multimedia and Design
- Integrate and manage third-party tools and plugins to enhance the functionality of the LMS and configure and troubleshoot issues related to these integrations in conjunction with IT where relevant
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring its smooth functionality
- In consultation with Course Coordinators and Academics, upload, organise, and maintain course content, including text, multimedia, assessments, and resources
- Assist in the upload of content to Ontrack when required
- Assist in the upload of content to Druple
Requirements
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar role with in-depth knowledge and experience operating within a Moodle environment (essential)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as information technology, educational technology or computer science (essential)
- Expertise customising a Moodle LMS (essential)
- Knowledge of integrating and managing third-party tools, plugins, and APIs within the LMS including but not limited to Turnitin and PoctorU.
- Practical knowledge of Equilla, Qualtrics and Intelliboard.
- Proficiency in identifying and resolving technical issues related to an LMS and its integrations.
- Strong communication skills to provide user support, collaborate with various teams, and convey technical information effectively to a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Understanding of LMS security measures, data privacy regulations, and best practices for maintaining a secure learning environment (desirable)
