Role

In this pivotal role, you will lead the creation of exceptional integrated marketing materials with a worldwide reach. Precision is not just a skill—it's your creative signature. As the Graphic Designer, your mission is clear: maintain brand excellence and meet the diverse creative needs of Kaplan’s international education entities in Australia and New Zealand, including Kaplan International, Kaplan Business School, the University of Adelaide College, The University of Newcastle College of International Education, Massey University College, and Murdoch College. Responsibilities:

  • Produce creative to brief, from concept to completion while maintaining corporate style and brand appearance across all marketing collateral for Kaplan International
  • Support the marketing department and associated brands with creative solutions and the production of marketing materials
  • Support the marketing team and liaise with key internal/external staff to ensure relevant and effective design solutions as necessary
  • Maintaining a consistent visual brand identity (according to brand guidelines) and direction for each brand across channels/platforms in line with business strategy
  • Conceptualise and execute ideas across a variety of platforms within existing brand guidelines, considering latest trends and when required present to the wider marketing team
  • Create accurate, effective, and consistent digital marketing resources (jpg, gif, png, tif, psd) according to channel and optimised user experience
  • Create digital files/assets for Adobe Creative Suite using best practice/ industry standard methods
  • Create interactive pdf assets for products (forms, certificates)
  • Produce engaging and effective materials for multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Produce accurate print ready artwork in multiple formats (ai, pdf, eps) according to brief from start to finish in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications within Design (essential)
  • 1–2 years in a similar role with relevant design experience in agency or in-house environment (essential)
  • Ability to develop digital/visual and strategic communication design including email, website and social
  • Possess a portfolio demonstrating a broad range of design solutions
  • Mac experienced — Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software applications (Including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat), Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work on multiple items for several brands within existing brand guidelines — ensuring the creative produced is brand appropriate
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail including exemplary use of typography, colour, and imagery
  • Ability to proofread/check your work for errors before sharing with the wider team
  • Competent in all processes required to carry projects through from concept (brief) to completion (print and digital)
  • Ability to set-up finished artwork
  • Pre-press knowledge an advantage (desirable)
  • Basic video editing skills using premiere (desirable)
