Role

As an Academic Teacher, you will deliver University of Adelaide College bachelor's degree bridging courses to students at the Adelaide Campus in the areas of Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Core Maths, Computing, Academic English, Economics, Engineering Maths, Physics, Programming, or Statistics.

Within the relevant discipline, you will provide students with an exceptional learning experience that aligns with that of students at the University of Adelaide and supports their successful completion of University of Adelaide coursework programs – ultimately contributing to a student’s career advancement and overall success.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and delivery of scheduled class lessons, tutorials, practicals, workshops via face to face
• Preparation of class lesson/tutorial notes and appropriate teaching materials and handouts
• Developing course outlines, curriculum documents and assessment tasks
• Student consultations
• Exam setting, marking and invigilating (exam supervision)
• Involvement in assessment, including grading, recording results and moderation processes
• A range of administrative functions connected to the relevant course
• Participation in scheduled meetings, professional development sessions and self-directed professional learning
• Familiarisation with student facing communications to support students to meet visa obligations and policy requirements.

 To be successful you will need:

• A master’s qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing in the relevant discipline.
  In determining experience relative to qualifications, regard is had to teaching experience, experience in research, experience outside tertiary education, creative achievement, and professional contributions and/or to technical achievement.
• For the Degree Transfer English course only - a bachelor degree and relevant TESOL qualification.
• Experience in teaching
