Business Analyst

Role 

We are looking for a stand-out Business Analyst for our new Program and Projects Team at Kaplan Australia. This individual will own the end-to-end requirements gathering process over the course of the project life cycle. Additionally, they will be responsible for business process analysis, documentation, and business process improvements.  

If you have a successful track record working in organizations of varying maturity levels and ambiguity across business-related initiatives with the ability to lead and facilitate workshops, then this role is for you. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Translate conceptual business requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehendible to business stakeholders, technical and operational teams. 

  • Elicit requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases and scenarios. 

  • Communicate any changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood. 

  • Produce project analysis documentation, cost benefit analyses, As-Is and To-Be process state documentation, feasibility studies, gap analyses, scope matrixes, use cases/scenarios, sequence diagrams and UAT plans. 

  • Create process models and diagrams, wireframes, data maps. 

  • Support the development of test plans, acceptance criteria and test scripts.  

  • Analyse and document current business processes and identify areas for improvement and optimisation. 

  • Work with business stakeholders to create process maps and documentation to illustrate current and future state processes.  

  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives. 

  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including operational procedures, process maps, and training materials. 

 Requirements:  

  • Minimum 4 years of proven business analysis experience working in business and/or education (essential) 

  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively

  • Strong partnership and relationship focus with excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Outstanding documentation skills particularly pertaining to analysis and requirements 

  • Successful track record working in organisations of varying maturity levels and ambiguity across business related initiative 

  • Ability to lead and facilitate workshops 

  • BABOK, CCBA or relevant industry qualifications (desirable)
