Role
The Junior Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing online learning materials including transforming existing and new content into online modules.
This is an exciting opportunity to work and collaborate with Academic Content Writers, Multimedia Producers, and other members of the content team to develop engaging material in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Using materials provided by Academic Content Writers, build online modules that are original, engaging, and visually appealing for learners
- Use digital authoring tools to create online modules and Microsoft Office to format documents
- Modify the design and delivery of online learning materials as and when required
- Ensure learning materials reflect the needs of learners and current industry standards
- Review and evaluate online information provided to learners and recommend appropriate solutions to improve learners’ access to information
- Keep up to date on current trends and approaches in online and e-learning
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures including WHS legislation requirements
- Ensure as far as is practicable that the workplace, under your control, is safe and without risks to health
Requirements
- Qualifications in education design or related field
- Experience using Microsoft office suite and Adobe Creative Suite
- Visual design skills
- Ability to take initiative and think ‘out of the box’, research to solve problems and issues
- Ability to pay attention to detail and strive for quality standards
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with
- Knowledge of eLearning technologies and their applications including Articulate’s Rise, and/or Storyline and Captivate (desirable)
- Knowledge of Moodle (desirable)
- Knowledge of designing and developing professional education programs (desirable)
