Role

Kaplan Australia & New Zealand is seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising applications, automated workflows, and AI-driven solutions using Microsoft Power Platform.

While your focus will be on delivering solutions for Australian initiatives, you will also collaborate with the UK-led Innovation Hub to align with global best practices. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to international projects as required.

This position requires strong technical expertise in Power Platform development, integration with third-party systems, and AI applications that improve business processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom applications using Power Apps, ensuring alignment with business requirements, user needs, and compliance policies.
• Develop and optimise automated workflows using Power Automate to enhance business efficiency.
• Build and maintain AI-powered chatbots and virtual agents using Copilot Studio or ChatGPT Enterprise.
• Utilise Azure AI Studio to integrate artificial intelligence into Power Platform solutions.
• Where appropriate, explore AI solutions such as OpenAI to enhance business processes while keeping Power Platform as the core development framework.
• Integrate Power Platform solutions with third-party APIs and external systems.
• Document and present solutions for approval by technical stakeholders.
• Work independently, managing development tasks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Engage with global teams to align with business goals, international standards, and best practices.
• Participate in calls outside of standard business hours when collaborating with international teams.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on Power Platform applications.
• Stay up to date with developments in Power Platform, AI technologies, and emerging best practices.

Requirements

• 2-3 years' experience as a Power Platform Developer or in a similar role (essential).
• Strong proficiency in Power Apps and Power Automate development (essential).
• Proven ability to integrate Power Platform solutions with third-party APIs. (essential)
• Experience with Copilot Studio, ChatGPT Enterprise, or AI-powered chatbots. (essential).
• Familiarity with Azure AI Studio and AI technologies within the Power Platform ecosystem.
• Knowledge of data modelling, Dataverse (Common Data Service), and data connectors.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple development tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., Power Platform Developer Associate, Functional Consultant Associate, Solution Architect Expert) (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (desirable).
