Role Overview
We’re excited at Kaplan Business School to be recruiting for a Curriculum & Scholarship Design Specialist following the internal promotion of the incumbent. This multifaceted role, which reports to the Director of Academic Learning, is ideally suited to a learning professional with formidable expertise in the design and delivery of professional development for higher education faculty across a diverse range of cognate areas.
This involves the support of curriculum writers throughout the entire course design lifecycle, inclusive of one-on-one coaching, group training, formative feedback, template design, resource development and communities of practice facilitation. The role is also quite administrative with responsibilities that include operational management of various academic development initiatives, student evaluation processes and oversight of registers that record the ongoing scholarly activities of more than 400 educators across Australia.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver and maintain training resources that exemplify best practice in curriculum design.
- Create learning solutions focused on constructive alignment, backwards design and UDL.
- Foster cross-disciplinary engagement, collaboration and shared innovation.
- Administer and analyse student surveys, staff scholarship registers and other programs.
- Ensure employability remains central to the curriculum, with particular emphasis on the specialised, evolving needs of international students.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in a teaching-related field
- A qualification or certification related to instructional, curriculum or syllabus design
- Experience with the integration of Generative AI in educational or professional settings
- Strong digital fluency, including intranet and project / content management tools
- Deep knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework and the AQF
