Senior Salesforce Developer

Role 

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer who will implement and manage the development within multiple Salesforce organisations for Kaplan Australia, covering all business units.

Responsibilities

• Designing and maintaining custom Salesforce solutions (Apex, triggers, Lightning, Visualforce) that meet business needs and adhere to secure coding practices
• Managing secure SSO connections, API integrations, and ensuring data protection
• Identifying and resolving code vulnerabilities using tools like Snyk while following Salesforce security guidelines
• Serving as a technical expert for Salesforce, resolving complex issues securely and efficiently

• Driving the implementation of Scrum methodologies within the Salesforce change process to enhance collaboration and efficiency
• Supporting the transition to a DevOps-based deployment process, streamlining workflows and ensuring reliable, secure releases
• Reviewing Salesforce updates to enhance system functionality and security
• Staying informed on security threats and collaborating with IT to maintain compliance
• Sharing secure development best practices to ensure compliance and avoid disruptions
• Contributing to team discussions to address technical challenges and improve workflows

  Requirements 

• Salesforce developer certification 
• 5+ years of Salesforce development experience – track record in delivering medium to large scale application developments 
• Development experience on Salesforce Classic platform 
• Clear & confident technical communication skills 
• Delivering against standard Agile practices 
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/technology field 
• Experience in the Education sector 
• Experience in government reporting requirements – TCSI, AVETMISS 
• Experience with SSO/SAML  
• Java 
• Knowledge of App Exchange packages  
• Experience of working within SOA (including SOAP and restful API and understanding of ESB integration) 
• Continuous integration (Jenkins, Git)

Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000 base + superannuation
