The Product & Project Manager at Kaplan Professional plays a pivotal role in delivering high-impact business and technology initiatives that improve learner experience, streamline operations, and deliver exceptional value to our clients.

This is a hands on, delivery focused role that sits at the intersection of product thinking, project leadership and stakeholder engagement. You will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional projects across digital platforms, enterprise systems, and major business transformation programs. Drawing on customer-centred design, strong delivery discipline, and effective stakeholder engagement, you’ll deliver solutions that create tangible outcomes in a fast-evolving education environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of platform, product, and operational projects using Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Shape product direction by collaborating with SMEs and business leaders to define scope, requirements, business cases, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Oversee full project lifecycles, including planning, execution, change management, readiness, and closure while ensuring alignment with PMO governance standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Business Analysts, Data Analysts, vendors, and internal stakeholders, to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Facilitate key project ceremonies such as working groups, sprint planning, steering committees, and stakeholder briefings.
  • Ensure operational and change readiness, including communications, training coordination, go-live preparation, and smooth BAU handover.
  • Manage project budgets, vendor engagements, and financial tracking in collaboration with Procurement, Legal, and Finance.
  • Maintain strong risk and reporting practices, including RAID management, issue escalation, benefits tracking, and senior leader reporting.

Requirements

  • Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP®, PRINCE2®, PMI-ACP®, Agile/Scrum) – essential.
  • 5+ years’ experience leading business or technology projects, ideally in digital learning, education, or a B2B professional services environment.
  • Proven success delivering digital platform or system projects, such as LMS, CRM (e.g., Salesforce), integrated systems, or enterprise tools.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • High-level planning and delivery capability, with experience managing parallel projects, timelines, budgets, and teams.
  • Proficiency with project and collaboration tools, such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Asana, or SharePoint.
  • Product-minded approach, with the ability to balance user needs, technical feasibility, business value, and learner/client outcomes.
  • Adaptable and outcomes-focused, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
