Role

Kaplan International College Adelaide (KIC Adelaide) is seeking committed and reflective educators to teach across our 2026 Pathways Programs. As a trusted and long-standing pathway partner of Adelaide University, KIC Adelaide plays a critical role in preparing students not only for academic progression, but for success at university and beyond.

Our teaching staff contribute to a learning environment that deliberately develops students’ critical thinking, communication, collaboration, digital literacy, intercultural understanding, professional expertise and personal development. Teaching at KIC Adelaide means designing and delivering learning experiences that connect disciplinary knowledge with real-world application, foster independent and confident learners, and support students as they transition into the expectations of undergraduate and postgraduate study.

These programs articulate directly into Adelaide University undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, and are delivered within a supportive, student-centred framework that values high-quality teaching, inclusive practice and purposeful feedback. Educators at KIC Adelaide are not only subject experts, but active contributors to students’ academic confidence, employability skills and long-term success.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to teach at the undergrad and postgraduate level, ideally with a Doctoral-level qualification or a Master-level qualification in one or more of the following technical areas:

  • Academic English
  • Science
  • Engineering
  • Health Science
  • Public Health
  • Statistics

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, face-to-face teaching that is aligned to the approved curriculum, learning outcomes, and class schedules, and that supports students’ transition into university-level study
  • Design and facilitate learning activities that develop students’ critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and professional academic practices
  • Assess student work accurately and in a timely manner, providing clear, constructive, and developmental feedback that supports academic growth and independent learning
  • Build professional, respectful, and inclusive learning relationships that promote student engagement, confidence, and intercultural understanding
  • Provide structured academic support and consultation to students, guiding them in study strategies, assessment literacy, and expectations of tertiary learning
  • Contribute to a student-centred learning environment that values academic integrity, reflective practice, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience teaching international students in a secondary, tertiary, or pathway education context
  • A recognised postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Proven ability to teach effectively in face-to-face learning environments, with an understanding of transition pedagogy
  • Strong commitment to student learning, academic standards, and inclusive teaching practice
  • Highly effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and sensitively across cultures
  • Organisational skills that enable the effective management of assessment, feedback, and academic deadlines
  • A reflective and professional approach to teaching, with the capacity to adapt practice to support diverse learner needs
