Role
The Student Recruitment Manager is responsible for promoting the Kaplan Business School (KBS) brand and driving student enrolments through proactive recruitment activities across an allocated portfolio.
This newly created role has a strong focus on growing direct-to-student recruitment initiatives, working alongside established recruitment channels to support the achievement of enrolment targets. The role will also build and maintain strong relationships with education and industry stakeholders to support student recruitment and retention outcomes.
Working collaboratively with the KBS Student Recruitment team, Marketing, Admissions, Conversion and Academic teams, this role will contribute to the development and delivery of ambitious sales, marketing and recruitment strategies for Kaplan Business School.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive direct-to-student recruitment outcomes to achieve agreed enrolment targets across the allocated portfolio.
- Develop and implement recruitment plans in collaboration with the Student Recruitment team for allocated campus locations.
- Build and promote the Kaplan Business School profile within the onshore market, with a focus on direct recruitment.
- Counsel prospective students on KBS courses and study pathways, providing accurate and relevant advice.
- Manage the conversion of student leads through to deposit paid, responding to enquiries within agreed timeframes.
- Establish and maintain relationships with education and industry stakeholders to support student recruitment.
- Facilitate and participate in recruitment activities including interviews, seminars, open days, roadshows, and events.
- Work closely with Admissions, Conversion and Academic teams to support enrolment outcomes and resolve application matters.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in direct student recruitment within the Australian onshore international education market, or equivalent student-facing recruitment experience.
- Sound understanding of Australia’s further and higher education sector and the international student experience.
- Proven ability to achieve recruitment targets in a results-driven environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging internal and external partners at a senior level.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail with the ability to produce clear, accurate reports and maintain CRM data.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or public holidays to support recruitment events.
