Role

The Country Manager role will be employed by Globalization Partners Vietnam and based in Vietnam. The role will include providing services to Kaplan International (KI), a client of Globalization Partners, with a focus on strengthening KI’s presence and impact in the Vietnam market.

As Country Manager, you will act as a senior representative for Kaplan in Vietnam, responsible for driving sustainable growth in student enrolments, strengthening strategic partnerships, and enhancing collaboration across in-country teams. You will play a key role in aligning Kaplan’s commercial, academic, and operational activities in Vietnam, while ensuring a high-quality experience for students and partners.

A key focus of this role is to build and maintain strong relationships with universities, government bodies, agents, and industry stakeholders, while increasing brand visibility and positioning Kaplan as a leading education provider in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a country strategy aligned with Kaplan’s global objectives to drive growth and market expansion in Vietnam
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with universities, government bodies, agents, and key stakeholders across the education sector
  • Identify and develop new partnership opportunities to support student recruitment and broader commercial initiatives
  • Provide leadership and coordination across in-country teams, ensuring alignment across academic, operational, and commercial functions
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, providing insights to inform strategic decision-making
  • Represent Kaplan at industry events, forums, and stakeholder meetings, strengthening brand presence and reputation
  • Support the delivery of regional projects and initiatives, ensuring timelines, quality, and business outcomes are achieved
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and Kaplan policies, maintaining high standards of governance and risk management

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in international education, higher education, or a related sector, ideally within the Vietnam or Southeast Asia market
  • Strong understanding of student recruitment, partnerships, and the international education landscape
  • Proven ability to build and manage high-level stakeholder relationships across government, industry, and academia
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic plans that deliver measurable growth outcomes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English and Vietnamese
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and trends
  • Experience working across cross-functional or matrix environments, with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • High level of professionalism, adaptability, and cultural awareness, with willingness to travel as required
