Role

Kaplan Business School and Australian Pathways are seeking a Downstream Data Coordinator to join our National Operations team on a 6-month contract.

This role is responsible for supporting the secure, timely and efficient distribution of data to internal stakeholders. You will help develop and maintain data distribution solutions, monitor downstream data usage, support data quality and integrity, and provide ad hoc reporting and insights to assist business decision-making.

Working closely with leadership teams, quality and compliance teams, IT, business systems and operational stakeholders, this role will suit someone with strong Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint and Excel automation experience who enjoys turning data into practical business insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Power BI Apps and access provisions to ensure data is securely shared with intended audiences.
  • Build and maintain SharePoint groups, lists, pages and supporting elements to enable efficient and scalable data distribution.
  • Develop, maintain and document Power Automate cloud flows to support automated data sharing and reporting processes.
  • Design and implement automated monitoring solutions within the Power BI technology stack to identify data quality issues and business rule deviations.
  • Build and enhance data distribution tools using VBA, Macros, Office Scripts, SharePoint and/or Power Automate.
  • Provide data, insights and analysis in response to ad hoc stakeholder requests.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business problems and develop fit-for-purpose reporting and information solutions.
  • Contribute to a positive, safe and collaborative workplace by adhering to Kaplan policies, procedures, WHS requirements and company values.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience using Power Query and Power BI across data ingestion, transformation, modelling and visualisation.
  • Experience building Excel-based reports with direct connections to relevant Power BI data models.
  • Solid experience building, maintaining and documenting Power Automate cloud flows.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint, including pages, access management and lists.
  • Demonstrated experience building solutions in Microsoft Excel using VBA, Macros and/or Office Scripts.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, with experience in commercial analysis, business analysis, sales analysis, business partnering, performance reporting or operational reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, business partnering and influencing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.

Desirable experience

Experience in higher education, international education, operational KPI development, data quality management, data definitions or collaboration platforms such as JIRA would be highly regarded.
