Role
Kaplan Professional is seeking an experienced Higher Education leader to drive academic quality, governance, curriculum oversight, and continuous improvement across our Higher Education portfolio.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring our courses meet the highest standards of academic quality and regulatory compliance, while supporting innovation in teaching, learning, and assessment.
You will work closely with academic and business stakeholders to lead course reviews, accreditation and reaccreditation activities, academic governance processes, curriculum development, and assessment quality initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who has extensive experience working within Australian Higher Education and a strong understanding of the regulatory, quality assurance, and governance frameworks that underpin successful course delivery.
Responsibilities
- Leading academic quality and continuous improvement initiatives across Higher Education programs.
- Driving course review, accreditation, benchmarking, and reaccreditation activities.
- Ensuring compliance with TEQSA requirements and the Higher Education Standards Framework.
- Overseeing curriculum quality, assessment design, moderation, and academic integrity practices.
- Monitoring academic quality indicators and implementing improvement strategies.
- Leading and developing academic managers, academics, and content specialists.
- Working with internal stakeholders to support exceptional student outcomes and academic excellence.
Requirements
- Experience preparing for accreditation, reaccreditation, or regulatory reviews.
- Experience chairing or supporting academic governance committees.
- Industry experience in financial advice, applied finance, banking, or related financial services sectors.
- PhD in Finance, Financial Planning, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
