Role
As Kaplan continues to expand its use of artificial intelligence, we are looking for a Security Consultant to lead the development of our AI security, governance and risk capability.
This is a newly created role focused on ensuring AI technologies are implemented safely, securely and responsibly across the organisation. You will work closely with technology teams, business stakeholders and external clients to assess AI-related risks, develop governance frameworks, support compliance activities and help drive our alignment with emerging standards such as ISO 42001.
This is not a traditional IT support or operational cyber role. Instead, you will act as a trusted advisor, helping Kaplan manage AI risk, security and compliance while supporting innovation across the business.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to assess and manage cyber security and AI-related risks.
- Support Kaplan's alignment with AI governance and security frameworks, including ISO 42001.
- Develop and maintain AI security policies, standards, controls and processes.
- Conduct security reviews and risk assessments for AI initiatives and technologies.
- Respond to client and third-party security assessments and due diligence requests.
- Support audits and compliance activities relating to cyber security and AI governance.
- Provide guidance on emerging AI security threats, risks and industry best practice.
- Work with technology and business teams to ensure AI solutions are implemented securely and responsibly.
Requirements
- Experience in cyber security, security consulting, risk management, assurance or governance.
- Experience conducting security reviews, risk assessments or advisory activities.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.
- A proactive, curious and solutions-focused approach
- Exposure to AI governance, AI technologies or AI-related risk management.
- Knowledge of AI security frameworks, responsible AI practices or ISO 42001.
- Experience responding to client security questionnaires, audits or third-party assessments.
